Make an Acoustic Guitar with Jeff Davis

Program Description:
This 5-day course is your chance to build your very own guitar with instructor Jeff Davis. Students will make a OOO body style acoustic guitar. Solid Indian Rosewood back & sides, Spruce top, Dovetail neck, 24.9" scale, White endpiece & heel cap, 28 Style top & back inlay. There will be homework in this class. Students will be sent home with tools.
Learning Objectives:
Understand steel-string guitar construction
Learn about bracing systems for guitars
Learn how to properly glue guitar parts
Learn guitar joinery
Learn how to do the binding
Learn how to attach a neck via a dovetail joint
Learn how to properly fret a guitar
Learn how to properly do a guitar set-up
Learn how to string and tune a guitar
Discuss different finishing options
