The Sam Beauford Woodworking Institute presents
2025 Graduate Show at Adrian Armory and Events Center
The Sam Beauford Woodworking Institute (SBWI) is proud to announce its 2025 Graduate Show, a public exhibition showcasing the work of 23 graduating students from SBWI’s acclaimed Wood Design program. The event will be held at the Adrian Armory and Events Center on May 30 and May 31, with doors open from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM each day.
This two-day event is a unique opportunity to experience the future of fine furniture making and contemporary woodworking. Visitors are invited to view, purchase, and commission one-of-a-kind pieces handcrafted by the next generation of talented makers. Each student has spent the past year honing their craft, and this show celebrates their creativity, technical skill, and artistic vision.
“SBWI’s Wood Design program represents the highest level of training in furniture making,” said Luke Barnett, President of SBWI. “These students are entering the field as professionals, and the Graduate Show is their moment to share their work with the public and connect with collectors, designers, and patrons of the craft.”
The event is free and open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend—from local community members and art lovers to interior designers and industry professionals.

About the Sam Beauford Woodworking Institute
Founded in Adrian, Michigan, SBWI has grown into one of the most respected woodworking schools in the nation, drawing students from across the country and around the world. What sets us apart isn’t just the quality of our instruction—it’s the culture of creativity, respect, and craftsmanship that defines everything we do.
Here, education is immersive, hands-on, and deeply personal. Students of all ages and skill levels come together to learn everything from traditional joinery and fine furniture making to timber framing and design. Whether you're building your first project or refining your professional skills, you’ll be supported by a passionate community of artists, makers, and educators who believe in the transformative power of craft.
Our classes are small, our tools are sharp, and our values run deep. We believe in working with our hands, thinking with our hearts, and building things that last—whether it’s a table, a timber frame, or a lifelong career.
Come experience the difference.
Come be part of something meaningful.
Come build with us.
