Hanging Wall Cabinet
5 Days: Monday - Friday, June 9th-13th, 2025, 8AM - 5 PM
Tuition: $1,200
Ages: 18 & Up
Instructor: Zack Fealk
Instructional Delivery Method(s): In person
Prerequisites: Some understanding of hand tools
Program Level: Intermediate, Advanced
Program Description:
Over 5 days, you will use a combination of machines and hand tools to build an elegant wall cabinet that will quickly warm up your home. Dovetails and through wedged tenons will be the main focal point on the cabinet. We will also fit dividers in some stopped grooves and learn the artistry of drawer making.
Although the cabinet photographed is made from walnut, we will most likely be making this out of Michigan cherry with a maple shiplapped back. There also may be a slight variation to the design of the drawer and the sliding door (using pins instead of dovetails on the drawer, and the sliding door will have stiles in addition to the runner rails with a large panel inside). If there is time, we will also apply finish to our cabinets. With a maximum of 8 students, you'll receive personalized instruction in a fully equipped woodworking college.
