Bio

William Toth is an aspiring furniture maker from Lexington, Kentucky. After being introduced to the craft while studying design at the University of Minnesota, he found his passion for the craft and has pursued a career in furniture design and woodworking since. Before attending Sam Beauford Woodworking Inst, he worked for a company in Minnesota which produced high-end custom furniture for the local churches. William hopes to continue working in furniture after graduation and is currently looking for his next step.

Artist Statement

As a maker and artist I am still figuring out where I fit into the community and what my niche is. I am currently trying to gather as much experience within different areas of the field as possible and to slowly develop my own style. Eventually I hope to have my own shop where I can produce one-of-a-kind pieces with a focus on simple, elegant design and an emphasis on long-lasting construction using local sustainable materials.
