Ready to Go Home

Dave Boat No.1 is ready to go home. I've got multiple coats of the water borne laquer over a coat of solvent based urethane on the entire boat. I've got to say again that I couldn't be happier with the finish, it is easy to apply, looks great and it is tough as nails.

The seat is one that Dave made from scratch and is an amazing example of engineering and patience. The seat sits on and is bolted to a pair of steam bent, laminated oak rockers which fit the contour of the bottom of the boat. From experience I know that a lot of thinking went into the making of the seat. Dave was a whiz!

I hope to get this boat returned this week and pick up another one. Stay tuned.
